Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting variety earned her acclaim in a variety of genres ranging from period drama to thriller and action adventure. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Hunter was twin to her younger sister. As a child she started performing. In fact, by seven She had auditioned for a number of commercials. She became interested in acting quickly, and she was shortly thereafter in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. At age eight she appeared alongside Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry, and at nine she made her first film appearance with Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson played the lead role as a character in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough in the film Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans, who manage to get away. After that, she earned high praise from critics for her performance as an teen girl who experienced an accident which resulted in her being damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim in Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. She gained fame for her portrayal of Nell Jones on the CBS popular show NCIS Los Angeles. She has won awards for her performance and was one of the main actors on the show. She's an excellent stage actor. The actress gave amazing performances like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith started her profession in the entertainment industry from a very young age. When she was a kid, she discovered her passion for performing. With the help of her parents Smith was offered her first role in the acting world at the age of six. She starred in a TV commercial for Dannon yogurt. She decided, like the majority of actresses just starting out, to refine her acting skills. She worked on various projects in the USA as she made her stage debut. She graduated from the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
